There is an Eddy Motor Control Board and a Motor Controller under the belly pan. There are 2 red wires that plug into LG1 and LG2 connectors on the Eddy Board. If these wires are reversed, these symptoms may occur. First verify the symptoms by running the machine in calibration mode following this procedure. In manual mode incline the deck to 20%. Remove key and calibrate the speed only as normal. If the machine runs very slowly at 85%pwm signal, exit calibration and proceed with the steps below to reverse the wires.
-Unplug the machine.
-Tilt the machine on its side as in the assembly instructions.
-Remove 9 screws from the belly cover. Remove the belly cover from the incline trainer.
-Verify the wire alignment matches the wire diagram (found in an envelope under the belly cover). The red wire from the controller should plug into the LG1 contact. The red wire from the motor should plug into the LG2. It will be easiest to trace the red wire from the motor to the eddy board. The motor wire will have a plastic connector in the middle of it.
-If the wires are routed incorrectly remove and reconnect the wires as in the wiring diagram.

Incline motor on incline trainer moves but will not go the full range motion.
The motor may not be calibrated with the console due to the console not receiving a signal from the incline sensor. First calibrate the machine. If incline calibration doesn't fix the issue, and the incline only moved up a little ways then down a little ways during calibration, then replace the incline sensor on the unit (models NTL15008 & 24816 only).
Treadmill walking belt slows or stops when using it.
Verify the weight of the heaviest user and that the walking belt is not over-tightened. If the belt still slows or stops, the walking belt will need to be replaced. For model 24723 only, Versions 0,3,4 and 5 were produced in Logan and the walking belt should be replaced with Icon part# 259688. Version 1 was produced in China and can be replaced with either 249498 or 259688. Version 2 was not produced.
Upon initial power up of the console, incline shows 40% when incline is actually much lower, and treadmill will not run faster than 3MPH
New consoles may not be properly calibrated with the treadmills incline motor. The console is programmed not to run faster than 3MPH at steep incline settings. Recalibrate the incline on the treadmill. First stand to the side of the treadmill. Enter calibration test mode by pressing both the stop and speed up buttons while inserting the safety key. Next, press the stop button 1 time. Press either incline button 1 time. The incline will then calibrate by moving its full range of motion. When the incline has stopped, remove the safety key. The speed and incline should now display correctly.

Rattling noise coming from the elliptical
If this occurs, verify that the noise is from the U-channel and the crank arm sleeve. Place a folded paper towel or similar shim between the U-channel and the crank arm sleeve, then lower the pedal leg and see if the noise lessens. It the noise is coming from this location, go to www.iconservice.com and order part number 246448, one for each side. This is a piece of rubber with adhesive on it that can adhere inside the u-channel to act as a shim. This goes for models:EPCCEL59870,GGEL681080,HREL598080,NTEL098090,NTEL7706,NTEL7996,NTEVEL12850,
